Vikas is a highly experienced and exceptionally skilled Physiotherapist, having a specialisation in Musculoskeletal clinical area with around 10 years of clinical experience. He has worked both in the Public and Private Health sectors, this includes public hospitals, Private clinics, Local Sporting Clubs. He has been involved in supervising, mentoring and developing Grade 1 Physiotherapists and Junior Physiotherapists for many years, which Vikas loves doing. He predominantly manages Acute & Subacute Musculoskeletal and Sport injuries.
Vikas completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), from India. Later, he moved to overseas to pursue further studies and to explore Physiotherapy opportunities outside of India. He first completed Graduate Diploma in Sports & Exercise Science, from New Zealand and then gained Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy & Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from La Trobe University, Australia. In addition to this, Vikas is also an Accredited Sports Trainer (Level 1) from Sports Medicine Australia.
Vikas is highly committed for learning and development of his own as well as others. Vikas has been very proactive and demonstrated his commitment to learn, by undertaking number of continuous professional development activities – Certificate in Advanced Dry Needling, Advanced Taping Techniques, APA Spinal level 1 & 2 Certificates, APA Sports level 1 Certificate, APA Pelvic floor Physiotherapy level 1 are just a few credentials and certificates to add to his CPD portfolio.
His significant involvement in AAPTA activities since 2015, in the form of a volunteer, team member, MSK mentor for both written and clinical exam preparation sessions is a testament for his commitment for developing the overseas Physiotherapy community. He recently also serving AAPTA by being part of the Organisation’s leadership committee and offering his valuable opinions and ideas to enable AAPTA to serve its members in a bigger and better ways.
Vikas is currently practicing as a Chief Physiotherapist and Director at V-Care Physio & Allied Health, located in Bendigo, Victoria and manages a group of Physiotherapists and Allied Health Professionals under his practice.
